ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Maya Eisbart! I’m an actor, singer, dancer, and director from Denver, Colorado. This fall, I’ll be attending Syracuse University to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre. I’ve also spent the past several summers training and performing at Stagedoor Manor in New York.

When I was 12, I co-founded New Generation Productions (NGP), a student-run theatre company created to give passionate young artists the opportunity to collaborate on professional-level productions and use theatre to make a positive impact in their community. Every part of our productions, from the performers and musicians to the designers and technical teams, is led by students, giving us the chance to learn from one another and develop both creatively and collaboratively. Since then, we’ve produced and directed over seven full-scale productions, most recently Merrily We Roll Along, which I directed and choreographed while also playing Mary. In 2024, our work was recognized with a True West Award from the Denver Gazette.

Some of my favorite roles I’ve played include Eurydice in Hadestown, Regina George in Mean Girls, The Witch in Into The Woods, Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act, and Matilda in Matilda. I love being onstage, but I also really enjoy directing, choreographing, and getting to be part of the process of putting a show together.

Outside of theatre, I love all things creative. You’ll probably find me crafting, painting, thrifting, sewing, or baking something overly ambitious.
